Sending files to IPFS using Lifeblock's IPFS-Blockchain gateway serves two functions:
- Sends the complete file to the IPFS storage system
- Saves the hash of the file sent to IPFS in Lifeblock so that it can be accessed at any time from anywhere
To use the storage system your Metamask wallet must be connected to Lifeblock testnet. Please verify in your Chrome plugin that Metamask is connected by clicking on the Metamask icon in your web browser. If it says "connected" everything is fine. If, on the other hand, the situation is "Not connected", you can make the connection manually. Click on this link with the description of how to make a manual connection to Lifeblock Testnet with Metamask in Chrome.
